Gazan Humanitarian Scholarship

The Gazan Humanitarian Scholarship is a University of Leeds scholarship for residents of Gaza or people displaced from Gaza after the escalation of the conflict in October 2023 who wish to study at the University. It is for postgraduate taught study (not available for foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate research degrees) and excludes specified STEM and engineering courses. The University will provide support with the visa process and, where possible, assistance with flight arrangements for successful applicants.

Applicants must be residents of Gaza or displaced from Gaza after October 2023, not currently resident in the UK, possess a valid travel document accepted by UKVI, and have already applied to a course at the University of Leeds with an unconditional offer by 20 April 2026.

Applicants must separately apply to a University of Leeds course and obtain an unconditional offer by 20 April 2026; inform the school's admissions team that they are applying for the Gazan Humanitarian Scholarship. Applications for the scholarship were closed for 2026 entry and will open for 2027 entry in early 2027.
