Perimeter PhD Residency Award

The Perimeter PhD Residency Award provides residency placement at Perimeter Institute for students enrolled in a PhD program at a partnering university. Resident PhD students are supervised by Perimeter Faculty or Senior Researchers while receiving their degree from a partner university and access Perimeter facilities and programs. The award offers a dedicated desk, access to resources and activities, mentorship, a Technology Grant, and top-up financial support in addition to home-university funding. Residency start is generally tied to the Fall intake cycle.

Dedicated desk at Perimeter Institute; access to Perimeter facilities, resources and scientific activities; 50% discount at on-site Black Hole Bistro; Technology Grant up to $2,000; mentorship program and opportunity to mentor MSc students; top-up funding to $30,000 per year (after fees and tuition) until Term 12; wellness and mental health support.

Applicants must apply for admission to a PhD program at one of Perimeter's partner universities and submit an application/Expression of Interest for the Perimeter PhD Residency Award; a formal residency offer is made only after an offer of admission from a partner university.
