EJN Investigative Story Grant and Training Program for Indigenous & Tribal Journalists 2025

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering an Investigative Story Grant and a virtual training program for Indigenous and tribal journalists. Up to 6 journalists will be selected to investigate and produce environmental justice stories, supported by a story grant and a training program led by experienced media trainers. Grants of $2,500 to $3,000 will be awarded to selected journalists, who will also participate in a virtual training program and receive mentorship opportunities.

Story grant (cash payment) and participation in a virtual training program with mentoring and networking opportunities.

Applicants must identify as Indigenous or belonging to a tribe; applicants can be from anywhere in the world; lead applicants must be Indigenous when applying with non-Indigenous collaborators; applications must be in English.
