Postdoctoral Fellowships at Uppsala University

The Postdoctoral Fellowships at Uppsala University are three-year research fellowships supporting interdisciplinary projects in natural and technical sciences, biomedicine, or biotechnology with potential impact on human health or sustainability. Fellows spend the first two years at Uppsala University and a final return phase of up to one year at a Danish public or non-profit research institution. The fellowship is intended to develop research independence and foster collaboration and knowledge transfer between Uppsala University and the Danish research ecosystem. The programme is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and administered through a Danish host institution that will employ the fellow.

Three-year fellowship funding, research stay of two years at Uppsala University and up to one-year return phase at a Danish host institution, financial support up to DKK 1.2 million per year (max DKK 3.6 million).

Applicants must have obtained a PhD in relevant fields within 5 years of the fellowship start date (leave of absence periods excluded). Applicants must establish contact with a host PI at Uppsala University, not have spent more than one year as a postdoc at Uppsala University at the time of application, and have a confirmed Danish host institution that will employ and administer the fellowship; applicants can apply as PhD students if expected to graduate before the start date.
