UJ Artists in Residence Programme 2025

The University of Johannesburg invites applications for the Artists in Residence Programme 2025. It targets artist-academics across disciplines and welcomes applicants from around the world, with a preference for a link to Africa. Residents are expected to produce at least one creative output project within 12 to 24 months, depending on the discipline.

Monthly stipend of R10,000; residency in 2025 (12-month) or 2026 (24-month) with potential for creative output projects.

Emerging and established artist-academics from across the globe, preferably with a link to Africa, who hold a relevant post-school qualification.
