Maya și Nicolae Simionescu Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Maya and Nicolae Simionescu Postdoctoral Fellowship is an annual competitive research fellowship supporting a 12-month biomedical research project in fundamental and applied biomedical sciences for the benefit of human health. The fellowship provides funding to a postdoctoral researcher to carry out the proposed project in a Romanian research institution or university. The programme is open to researchers up to 40 years old working in Romania.

EUR 10,000 research grant for 12 months; project funding and inclusion in the award ceremony at the Romanian Academy.

Applicants must be Romanian citizens with stable domicile in Romania or who will work in Romania during the fellowship; hold a university degree (bachelor/master) and a doctorate in biology/biofizics/natural sciences/medicine; be no older than 40 years and have at least intermediate knowledge of English.

Two-stage competition: submit an abstract with CV (Stage I) by 2023-07-03; shortlisted candidates submit the full dossier including the full research project (Stage II) by 2023-09-01 via email to bursa.simionescu@icbp.ro.
