ScheringPlus Fellowships

The ScheringPlus Fellowships are a cohort-based funding and networking programme for outstanding doctoral candidates and early postdoctoral researchers in the life sciences located in the Berlin–Brandenburg region. Fellowships run for three years and provide financial resources for individual research, networking and professional development. Fellows take part in at least one annual in-person networking meeting and receive access to training and exchange opportunities offered by the programme.

Up to EUR 12,000 for research, travel, conferences, training, event organisation, equipment, data collection, open-access publication and science communication; at least one annual in-person networking meeting and access to further training.

Outstanding doctoral candidates and early postdoctoral researchers (up to two years after completion of the doctorate) from the life sciences who are based in Berlin and Brandenburg and who demonstrate strong disciplinary excellence and interest in interdisciplinary work.

Selection based on academic excellence demonstrated by transcripts, (first) publications, a supervisor statement and the quality of the presentation and framing of the research project.
