Arbeidsstipend for satireteiknarar

Arbeidsstipend for satireteiknarar is a project grant for socially engaged satirical cartoonists and practicing visual artists to develop new work. Fritt Ord offers up to nine stipends of NOK 100,000 corresponding to four months' preparatory work in autumn 2021, and may award up to an additional NOK 100,000 if the work leads to a publication agreement or self-publishing in 2022. Recipients are offered guidance from professionals and are expected to work toward publication and submit a short report after completion.

Socially engaged cartoonists and practicing visual artists; both young/debuting and established practitioners are invited to apply. Submissions may include classic satire for print, strip cartoons and experimental genre work for digital or print media.

Submit one work responding to the theme majority and minority, a project sketch (up to two pages), and a CV by email to satire@frittord.no.
