Japanese Government Scholarships 2026 – Fully Funded

The MEXT University Recommendation (UR) Scholarship, offered by the Japanese Ministry of Education (MEXT), supports international graduate applicants to study at APU with full financial support, including tuition coverage, a monthly stipend, insurance, books, and round-trip airfare. Applicants apply directly to APU, which screens and selects top candidates to recommend to MEXT, with final funding decisions typically announced by the end of the cycle.

Applicants must apply for September 2026 enrollment, be a national of a MEXT-designated country, be born on or after April 2, 1991, have a minimum GPA of 2.30/3.00, hold Student visa status in Japan, and not hold other conflicting scholarships.
