Digital Democracy Initiative Sub-Saharan Africa Digital Democracy Hackathon 2025

The Digital Democracy Initiative Sub-Saharan Africa Digital Democracy Hackathon 2025 is a regional hackathon organized by Magamba Network in partnership with CIVICUS. It invites civil society innovators, developers, and activists to create technology-driven solutions that strengthen democratic participation, accountability, and protection for activists in Africa. Five subgrants of $7,500 each will be awarded to selected teams, with post-hackathon incubation opportunities and regional recognition for participants.

Open to participants from Sub-Saharan African countries, aged 18-35, including individuals and teams (teams encouraged but not required).
