Science & SciLifeLab Prize for Young Scientists 2026

The Science & SciLifeLab Prize for Young Scientists is a global prize recognizing early-career researchers in multiple categories. It awards significant prize money and includes publication of winning essays, plus an invitation to a prize ceremony and related scientific events. The prize aims to highlight outstanding work by scientists from around the world.

Grand prize of $30,000 USD; each of the other three category winners receives $10,000 USD; grand prize winning essay published in Science; other winning essays published online; winners invited to a prize ceremony in Sweden with a scientific symposium and social events, and may bring one guest.

Entrants must have received their Ph.D. between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2024.

Submit online entry form, an essay describing the thesis work, a one-page reference letter, a list of citations/awards and relevant experience, and an abstract.
