SLAS Travel Award

The SLAS Travel Award is an annual travel grant program that recognizes early-career researchers who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in laboratory science and technology and provides funding to attend the SLAS International Conference and Exhibition. Eligible recipients present their research at the conference and may receive mentoring and exposure opportunities such as a feature on the New Matter podcast. The award includes conference-related financial support and membership benefits. Selection is based on abstract quality, relevance to the conference, statement of conference value, and applicant qualifications.

One-year complimentary Premier SLAS membership; full conference registration; travel stipend covering shared hotel (up to 4 nights) and airfare or train fare; one pre-conference short course registration; invitation to be featured on the SLAS podcast; invitation to mentoring via the SLAS Mentor Match Program.

Students, graduate students, post-doctoral associates, and junior faculty with less than four years in their first academic appointments, and professionals who have completed undergraduate and/or graduate school and are within the first five years of their careers, are eligible to apply. An applicant must be the primary author of a submitted abstract and must present their research in either a poster or oral (podium) session at the conference.
