Stipendium für internationale Studierende

A semesterly scholarship for international students at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) funded from Bavarian state funds. It provides a one-off study allowance each semester between €500 and €1,800, which can be applied for again every semester. The maximum funding period is 36 months. Results for applications are communicated mid July (summer round) and mid December (winter round).

Semesterly stipend of €500–€1,800; renewable each semester up to 36 months.

Applicants must not be eligible for BAföG due to their nationality; be enrolled at TUM from the 3rd semester in a Bachelor or from the 2nd semester in a Master (or 1st Master semester if the Bachelor was completed at TUM); submit their bachelor/master thesis not before 30.06 (SoSe) or 31.12 (WiSe); demonstrate good academic performance and financial need. Receipt of fee waivers or other stipends is counted as income.

Prepare PDF documents (motivation letter 100–200 words in German or English, CV, residence permit, TUM academic transcript, two referee reports not older than one semester, income/bank statements for last 12 months, and parents'/spouse income where applicable).
