IBRO Collaborative Research Grants 2026

The IBRO Collaborative Research Grants provide funding to support direct collaboration between two emerging research groups or between an emerging and an established group. Grants are intended to cover collaboration-related expenses such as travel, accommodation, subsistence, and research costs for the partnering teams, and do not cover indirect or overhead expenses. The awards are designed to enable bi-directional collaboration between principal investigators, postdocs, and/or students and must begin in 2026.

Financial support for direct collaboration costs; opportunity to conduct an international research collaboration and develop cross-institutional partnerships.

Project leaders must be principal investigators within seven years of their career start and come from an emerging laboratory; the collaborator must be a principal investigator who may come from an emerging or an established laboratory.
