ICFO Summer Fellowships

A three-month summer research fellowship at the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) in Castelldefels, Spain, offering full-time research placements under the supervision of ICFO group leaders. It is aimed at university students to participate in active research projects across ICFO's photonics and related research areas. The programme typically runs for approximately twelve weeks between June and September 2026. Participants gain hands-on research experience and mentorship within ICFO research groups.

€600 gross monthly stipend, eligible travel costs covered, supervision and mentorship within ICFO research groups, approximately twelve weeks of full-time research experience.

Students in the last two years of studies equivalent to a master's or a bachelor's in engineering; eligible areas include Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The programme is primarily aimed at students enrolled in Spanish universities, with outstanding international applications being considered.
