France-South Africa Scholarship Programme

The France-South Africa Scholarship Programme provides scholarships for students who intend to pursue a Master's degree or PhD at French higher education institutions. The call is open to applicants in all fields, with priority given to STEM and related humanities and social sciences. Selected laureates will follow online French language courses from February to July 2027 and are expected to begin their studies in France in September 2027. The programme is aimed at citizens of South Africa, Lesotho and Malawi.

Return flight to France, monthly allowance (approx. 850 euros for Master’s, 1700 euros for PhD), health insurance, housing assistance, visa exemption, and accommodation aid.

Open to students with citizenship of South Africa, Lesotho and Malawi who intend to study in France for a Master’s degree or PhD and to start studies in France in September 2027.
