Uncharted Territories Design Competition 2026

A poster design competition inviting entrants to create a poster inspired by an Uncharted Territories article, map, chart, or concept. Submissions must be prepared in A2 or 18×24-inch format with a screen-resolution JPG or PNG preview submitted first. The competition is intended for graphic designers interested in editorial design, data visualization, cartography-inspired design, and visual storytelling. Public engagement may inform judging while final selection rests with Tomas Pueyo.

US$1,000 prize paid by bank transfer or mutually agreed payment method within 30 days of written acceptance; winning entry grants Uncharted Territories an exclusive commercial licence to produce and sell print editions; the winning design may become a flagship product for a UT shop; winner may be offered ongoing commission work.

Open to entrants worldwide (except where prohibited by law), aged 18 or older or at the age of majority in their country of residence. Uncharted Territories employees, contractors, and their immediate family members are excluded. Work must be original; third-party elements must be licensed for commercial use; any use of AI must be disclosed.

Prepare an A2 or 18×24-inch poster (portrait or landscape) and submit a screen-resolution JPG or PNG preview first; a 'Direct Applications' pathway is available for designers proposing work for the UT shop with portfolio examples.
