STEM Career Program Science Olympiad Test (NSTC-23)

A national STEM talent identification and training programme (NSTC-23) organised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and PIEAS to select students for Pakistan’s teams to the International Science Olympiads. The programme runs subject-specific Olympiads in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, with a national screening test followed by training camps and final team selection. Top-performing students receive specialised training, mentorship, scholarships, and cash awards, and may gain direct admission opportunities to selected universities. Applications are submitted online and shortlisted candidates attend residential training camps and further evaluations.

Specialised training and mentorship, scholarships, opportunities for direct admission to selected universities, and cash prizes (Gold Rs. 500,000; Silver Rs. 250,000; Bronze Rs. 100,000; Honorable Mention Rs. 50,000; International Participation Rs. 25,000).

Students of Pre-9th, 9th, 10th, or 11th Grade (Matric, O-Level, FSc Part-I, or A-Level Part-I) with at least 60% marks in core science subjects, under 20 years of age on 30 June 2027; Pakistani students including overseas Pakistanis are eligible. Students studying in FSc Part-II, A-Level Part-II, or any university degree program cannot apply.

Register on the official STEM Careers Programme website, create an account, select an Olympiad subject, complete the online form, upload documents and photograph, pay the Rs. 1,000 processing fee, and submit before the deadline.
