2026 Conference of the American Association for Applied Linguistics

The 2026 conference of the American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL) is a hybrid academic conference with in-person sessions in Chicago, IL and a virtual day. It invites presenters from all subdisciplines of applied linguistics to share original, unpublished research through papers, posters, colloquia, and roundtables. The meeting includes plenary presentations, invited colloquia, pre-conference workshops, and networking opportunities.

Submissions are welcome from AAAL members and non-members, scholars based inside and outside the United States, and graduate students.
