Teba reached the finals of Immers Easy and won a partial scholarship

Teba from Iraq reached the finals of the Immers Easy competition in 2026 and received a partial scholarship. The result followed a path shaped by school success and early interest in space, along with steady work in writing and research.

The interest began in sixth grade in 2023, when Teba watched Interstellar with family. The film stayed in mind for its dialogues and the shapes of the planets and the black hole, and it led to a search for more knowledge through YouTube videos and wider study.

“I watched the film Interstellar for the first time with my family, and space inspired me a great deal.”

Building through school

Alongside that curiosity, Teba studied seriously during the baccalaureate year and obtained an average of 98%. Teba also applied to the Distinguished Schools in Iraq and sat two exams in achievement and intelligence before being accepted, ranking 78th out of more than 200 female students.

Earlier school results were strong as well, with a general exemption in first and second intermediate and an average of no less than 90%. In second grade, a physics teacher asked for a device that simulates a black hole, and Teba helped shape the idea with artificial intelligence support while working as part of a joint effort.

Writing, research and competition

During the summer holiday, Teba started writing articles and publishing them on Medium, then took part in Immers Easy and received a certificate of participation. In January 2026, Teba entered the competition again, reached the finals and received a partial scholarship.

That same year, Teba wrote about spacetime in the school magazine in the scientific section. The work was part of a broader effort to explore links between cosmology and neuroscience, a subject that led to study of a 2020 paper by Alberto Feletti and Franco Vazza titled The Quantitative Comparison Between the Neuronal Network and the Cosmic Web.

Teba says the search is now aimed at finding or proposing more theses on the similarities between these two sciences and why the study may matter more than it first appears. The idea grew from long months of reflection and from a saying attributed to Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib that stayed in mind and led to further questioning.

“My goal is to create my own study on this topic and make it a focus of interest in the scientific community.”
