Afreximbank-Edordu Research Competition 2026: Empowering Africa’s Next Generation of Policy Thinkers

The Afreximbank-Edordu Research Competition 2026 invites postgraduate students to submit original research on themes such as trade, finance, regional integration, and sustainable development. Top papers are transformed into actionable policy briefs and presented to Afreximbank leadership, with finalists gaining visibility among policymakers and academics. The competition offers a USD 20,000 prize and additional support for academic resources and tuition, plus opportunities to present at Afreximbank events.

Postgraduate students (Master’s or PhD) currently enrolled in an accredited tertiary institution, studying in Africa or an eligible CARICOM state, and holding nationality from an African country or an eligible CARICOM member state.

Submit original, unpublished research (3,000–5,000 words) via the official competition portal in PDF or Word, addressing one of the official themes and following a recognized citation style.
