Zukunftskolleg Konnect Fellowships 2026

The Zukunftskolleg Konnect Fellowships are funded research fellowships for early career researchers from Africa, Asia and Latin America to conduct on-campus research at the University of Konstanz for up to 12 months. Fellows work on a research project aligned with one of the university's departments and receive a stipend, travel support, and access to the Zukunftskolleg's resources and events. The program aims to help fellows build research networks and engage with the German and European academic environment, while maintaining their home affiliation.

On-campus stipend, travel support, research allowances, library and IT access, language courses, career development activities, digital affiliation, and research support services.

Eligibility requires being born in and working in Latin America, Asia or Africa; holding a doctorate (or being a doctoral student in the final year, with completion expected within 2 years); the doctorate must be from a university in Latin America, Asia or Africa; no permanent professorship or habilitation; research must align with Konstanz disciplines.
