Barbara Lotze Scholarship for Future Physics Teachers 2025

The Barbara Lotze Scholarship for Future Physics Teachers 2025 is offered by the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) for students preparing to become high school physics teachers. Eligible applicants are U.S. citizens attending U.S. schools, including undergraduates and high school seniors entering such programs. Successful recipients receive a stipend and a complimentary AAPT Student Membership for one year.

Stipend up to $3,000 and one-year AAPT Student Membership

Undergraduate students enrolled in or planning to enroll in physics teacher preparation curricula and high school seniors entering such programs; must intend to pursue a career in high school physics teaching and be a U.S. citizen.

Applications must be received by December 1 for consideration at the winter meeting of the AAPT Board of Directors; includes submitting materials and letters of recommendation.
