EU-Canada Young Journalist Fellowship 2026

The EU-Canada Young Journalist Fellowship is a long-running program run by the Delegation of the European Union to Canada in partnership with the Canadian Association of Journalists. It supports emerging journalists and students, offering a fully funded study tour to Brussels for selected fellows. The fellowship includes travel, accommodation, and program costs covered, plus a year of CAJ membership and an awards ceremony in Ottawa.

Eligible applicants are early-career journalists and students who are 18 to 30 years old, enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or working in journalism, and who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

Submit an application package including a sample of work, a letter of motivation, a CV, and proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency; all components must be submitted together.
