ASEAN Research Collaboration Internship 2026

A 3-month research internship in Australia for early-career researchers from ASEAN member states. The program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education in collaboration with the RMIT Asia Hub, with placements at participating Australian Research Institutions. Selected applicants receive support including a stipend and allowances to conduct commercially focused research in defined focus areas.

AU$20,000 stipend for 3 months, travel allowance AU$3,500, monthly living stipend AU$4,000, family allowance AU$1,500

Applicants must be nationals of ASEAN member states (or Timor-Leste), have completed a PhD within the past eight years, and be available to attend the program in Australia; a research proposal and placement offer are required.
