AfDB Young Professionals Program 2026

The AfDB Young Professionals Program (YPP) is a diversity-focused talent development program intended to create a leadership pipeline and a workforce of the future for the African Development Bank. It targets high-potential young professionals with outstanding academic and professional achievements and provides career opportunities within the Bank, including rotation, capacity development, mentoring, and eventual integration into the Bank.

Tooling includes rotation, capacity development, mentorship and coaching, and integration into the Bank after graduation.

Applicants must be a citizen of a Bank member country, 32 years old or younger by 30 November 2025, hold a Master’s degree with strong academic credentials, have at least 3 years of relevant postgraduate work experience, and demonstrate capacity to work across diverse environments and locations including Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
