CalKIDS Scholarship

The CalKIDS Scholarship is a state-supported program in California that provides deposits and potential incentives to eligible children to help save for college. Eligible newborns and certain older children may receive automatic funding or be able to claim funds through a CalKIDS account linked to a ScholarShare 529 college savings plan. Funds are intended to be used for college expenses once the student enrolls in an eligible institution.

Newborns and young children born in California on or after July 1, 2022 are eligible, and public school students in grades 1-12 during specified years may also qualify for certain awards.
