Chevening South Asia Journalism Fellowship (SAJP) 2026-2027

The Chevening South Asia Journalism Fellowship (SAJP) is a funded eight-week fellowship hosted by the University of Westminster for mid-career journalists from South Asian countries. Fellows participate in lectures, visits, and discussions focused on governance, media, politics and society, and will organise a symposium in the final week. The programme includes full fees, living expenses, and return economy airfare to the UK.

Full programme fees; living expenses for the duration of the fellowship; return economy airfare from your country of residence to the UK.

Citizens of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or the Maldives; mid-career journalist in the political or economic fields; and a postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Applications are submitted through the Chevening SAJP application portal; applications open until 7 October 2025.
