Malaysian International Scholarship (MIS) – Postgraduate Studies

The Malaysian International Scholarship (MIS) is the Government of Malaysia's flagship international scholarship programme administered by the Ministry of Higher Education. It provides fully funded opportunities for qualified international candidates to pursue master's and doctoral degrees at participating Malaysian research universities. The scholarship accepts proposals across all academic disciplines and prioritises studies that align with Malaysia's and partner countries' development interests.

Full tuition coverage; monthly living stipend (RM 1,500); monthly research allowance (RM 700); thesis allowance; health insurance; one-time settling-in allowance.

Open to applicants for master's and doctoral programmes from MIS recipient countries, with applicants required to be under 40 years for master's and under 45 for doctoral programmes, hold a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (or Second Class Upper equivalent), and have secured an offer of admission from a participating Malaysian university at the time of application.
