Marcus Garvey Public Sector Graduate Scholarships

The Marcus Garvey Public Sector Graduate Scholarships is a merit-based scholarship programme for Jamaican public sector employees to pursue graduate study. It provides tuition coverage and a stipend for living expenses, and for scholarships tenable at overseas universities it includes transportation (airfare) to and from Jamaica. Selection emphasises academic excellence, job performance, leadership potential and likely contribution to Jamaica’s development.

Applicants must be Jamaican nationals and public sector employees (permanent, temporary or contract) with at least 2 years’ continuous service; must hold a Bachelor’s degree sufficient for admission to graduate studies in participating universities; applicants must be under 45 years old at the time of application.

Submit an online application with supporting documents (application form, CV, transcripts, birth certificate, three letters of recommendation, personal statements, proposed programme). Shortlisting by a Technical Secretariat, interview with the Selection Committee, and final award conditional on acceptance to an eligible programme at a participating university.
