Denham A. Whilby Memorial Scholarship

The Denham A. Whilby Memorial Scholarship provides a one-year award of up to JA$150,000 to assist Jamaica Civil Service Association (JCSA) members and their children who are enrolled in tertiary institutions. The scholarship supports studies in Business Administration, Information Technology, Labour Studies, Public Sector Management, Medical Sciences and Law. Awards are paid directly to the recipient’s accredited university or college for tuition and recipients may not reapply for the same scholarship.

Up to JA$150,000 toward tuition paid directly to the recipient’s accredited institution; one-year award

Applicants must be JCSA members in good financial standing or their children; membership tenure must be at least two years. Applicants must provide acceptance letter for new students or proof of enrolment and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; both full-time and part-time tertiary students are eligible.

Submit completed Denham Whilby Memorial application form and supporting documents (official transcript, acceptance letter or fee statement, financial need analysis, salary slips, recommendation, birth certificate if applicable, one-page essay) to the Jamaica Civil Service Association; recipients notified by JCSA and payment made to institution after presentation and proof of enrollment.
