PhD Programme at the European University Institute (EUI)

The PhD Programme at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence is a doctoral research programme housed in four departments: Economics; History and Civilization; Law; and Political and Social Sciences. It offers doctoral and postdoctoral study and research platforms, including the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. The programme admits candidates who hold a relevant master's degree and provides stipend support for enrolled doctoral researchers.

Tuition coverage; living allowance; insurance; travel expenses once per academic year.

Applicants to the PhD programme must hold a master's degree prior to registration. Master's programme applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
