Arturo Falaschi Short-term PhD Fellowships – September 2026

The Arturo Falaschi Short-term PhD Fellowships support pre-doctoral studies in ICGEB Component laboratories to enable collaborative research between scientists from ICGEB Member States and ICGEB research groups in Trieste, New Delhi and Cape Town. The programme funds short research stays of 1–12 months with a stipend, travel and health insurance coverage, and visa-related costs reimbursed. Applications are processed in two stages: an Expression of Interest and a Full Application.

Monthly stipend; travel expenses to and from host lab; health insurance coverage; visa/permit reimbursement; access to lab facilities and supervision.

Applicants must be nationals of an ICGEB Member State and may not apply for fellowships to be undertaken in their country of origin unless working abroad at the time of application. Degree requirements include a BSc (Honours) for Trieste and Cape Town or an MSc for New Delhi.

Submit Fellowship Expression of Interest via the ICGEB Service Gateway between 1 July and 14 August 2026, followed by a Full Application between 16 and 30 September 2026 if shortlisted.
