WIPO Summer School (inaugural Saudi Arabia session)

The WIPO Summer School is a two-week, in-person training programme on intellectual property topics including copyright, patents, trademarks, industrial designs, technology transfer and strategic IP management. The inaugural in-person session in Saudi Arabia brought together 40 participants from 22 nationalities for lectures, case studies and interactive sessions. The event was hosted at KAUST in partnership with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property and the WIPO Academy.

Two-week in-person instruction including lectures, case studies and interactive sessions on IP topics; 10 fully funded scholarships were awarded to participants by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property.

Open to university students and young professionals; targeted at university students and young professionals.

Candidates applied and were selected from applicants (the session received over 180 applications); specific application steps are not detailed.
