Haniel Scholarship Programme

The Haniel Scholarship Programme offers scholarships for business-related postgraduate degree courses abroad combined with an internship of at least two months. It supports young German graduates to acquire supplementary qualifications for careers in multinational companies and international organisations. The programme funds a Master's degree lasting at least two semesters and a subsequent several-month internship. The German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung) manages the application process and selects scholars.

Admission to the Studienstiftung, monthly stipend, tuition coverage for up to two years (country-specific caps), €500 start grant, €1,000 travel allowance, internship placement responsibility lies with the participant.

Open to young German graduates with at least a Bachelor's degree proposing a business-related postgraduate study and internship; applicants must organise both the degree course and the internship in advance.

Applicants prepare and submit a study plan and internship arrangements; preselection is followed by invitation of finalists to selection interviews in February/March. Application documents and FAQ are available from the Studienstiftung website.
