Indian National Biology Olympiad (INBO) 2027

The Indian National Biology Olympiad (INBO) is the second stage of India’s Biology Olympiad programme and is conducted under the national Olympiad programme coordinated by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE). INBO 2027 will be held on 2027-01-31 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Students who qualify INBO progress through further stages including Orientation-cum-Selection Camp (OCSC), Pre-Departure Camp (PDC) and may be selected to represent India at the International Biology Olympiad (IBO). The examination tests conceptual understanding and application of senior-secondary biology topics such as cell biology, genetics, physiology, ecology and evolution.

Students who qualify through the prescribed National Standard Examination in Biology (NSEB) selection process and who meet the HBCSE citizenship, age, schooling and Class 12–related conditions for the 2026–27 Science Olympiad cycle are eligible to appear for INBO 2027.

Students must qualify via the National Standard Examination in Biology (NSEB) and follow HBCSE notifications for examination centres, admit cards and further instructions.
