Young Investigator Awards in Cognitive Neuroscience

The Young Investigator Awards in Cognitive Neuroscience recognize early-career researchers for outstanding contributions to cognitive neuroscience. Nominees are expected to be within ten years of receipt of their doctoral degree and must be nominated by another individual. Award recipients are expected to attend the society's annual meeting to accept the award and give a special lecture.

Recognition as a Young Investigator Award recipient and invitation to give a special lecture at the 2027 annual meeting

Nominees must be working in any area of cognitive neuroscience, be no more than 10 years from receipt of their doctoral degree as of January 1, 2027, be nominated by another individual (no self-nominations), and be able to attend the 2027 meeting to accept the award and give a special lecture. Consideration is given for institutionally approved childbearing or parental leave (2 year limit) and certain clinical/residency years are not counted against the 10-year limit.

Nominations submitted online by another individual; required materials include nominee contact information, CV, a short statement of research (max 600 words), a representative publication and citations, and nomination statements from two referees.
