Innovation Projects for the Industrial Sector: The Seafood Industry 2026

A grant call to support research- or development-driven innovation projects within fisheries or aquaculture, focusing on developing new technology, products or services in the seafood industry. Projects should contain a significant element of industrial research and/or experimental development. The call covers the entire value chain in both aquaculture and fisheries and is open to all species and topics related to the sector. Projects must be new (not started before application) and should require funding from the Research Council to be initiated.

Grant funding to support industrial research and/or experimental development projects in the seafood industry.

Project Owner must be a company registered in the Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises with economic activity in Norway; sole proprietorships cannot be Project Owners but can be partners. The Project Owner must carry out the project together with at least one collaborating partner (Norwegian company) or procure commissioned research from at least one R&D provider. Partners and R&D providers must have defined tasks and be independent of each other.
