Merit Based Scholarships

Merit Based Scholarships award financial prizes and tuition concessions to top undergraduate students based on academic performance. Awards include cash prizes for the top three positions and tuition fee waivers for students meeting specified SGPA/CGPA thresholds. Applications are compiled by departments and the Office of Student Affairs and reviewed by a committee with final approval by the Rector. Required documents include national ID, birth certificate and academic transcripts.

Undergraduate students; awards are given to the top three positions among undergraduate students. Specific SGPA/CGPA thresholds apply (e.g. SGPA 4.00, minimum SGPA 3.75 and a normal academic load of at least 14 credit hours).

Departments and the Office of Student Affairs collect and compile applications and forward them to a committee for evaluation; the committee may conduct interviews and will recommend awards to the Rector. Applicants must apply on a prescribed form obtainable from the Exam Office page.
