Engineering Biology Collaborative R&D: Round 3

The Engineering Biology Collaborative R&D: Round 3 is a UKRI competition providing grant funding to support development and scaling of engineering biology platforms, products and services. It is aimed at collaborative projects led by UK-registered businesses and requires a consortium including at least one UK micro, small or medium sized enterprise claiming grant funding. The competition offers a share of funding to successful applicants as part of UKRI’s Engineering Biology Programme.

Grant funding (a share of up to £8.5 million) to support collaborative R&D projects in engineering biology.

To lead a collaborative project the lead organisation must be a UK registered business of any size. The consortium must contain at least one UK registered micro, small or medium sized enterprise (SME) claiming grant funding on the application.

Organisations apply through the UK Innovation Funding Service competition portal and follow UKRI application guidance.
