NHS Wales Bursary for Eligible Health Programmes

The NHS Wales Bursary provides financial support to students enrolled on eligible pre-registration health programmes in Wales. It covers tuition fees and offers maintenance support, including a non-repayable annual grant. Recipients commit to work for the NHS in Wales for a minimum period after qualification. The scheme aims to support the training and supply of qualified medical and allied health professionals.

Tuition fees paid directly to the university; maintenance allowance; £1,000 annual non-repayable grant paid monthly; additional support possible for disability or dependent responsibilities.

Applicants must be British or Irish citizens or hold settled or pre-settled status in the EU, be enrolled on an eligible undergraduate or pre-registration master's health programme, and commit to work for NHS Wales for at least 18 months after qualification.
