KHMW Keetje Hodshon Proefschriftprijs voor de Sociale wetenschappen

The KHMW Keetje Hodshon Proefschriftprijs voor de Sociale wetenschappen is an annual prize awarded for original doctoral research in the social sciences. It recognises recently completed PhD research and is intended as an encouragement prize for researchers who defended their doctorate within four years before the award year. The prize rotates between specified subfields on a multi-year schedule and carries a monetary award of €10,000.

€10,000 cash prize

The prize is intended for researchers who were awarded their PhD not longer than four years before the award year. For the 2027 edition eligible doctorates were those defended between 2023-01-01 and 2026-12-31.

Candidates are put forward by nomination; nominations may be submitted from November 2026 via the KHMW webpage.
