Mentor of the Year 2025

Mentor of the Year is an annual award presented by the Young Academy of Slovenia to recognise outstanding Slovenian supervisors of doctoral students. Nominations are submitted by current third-year (or later) doctoral students and recent PhD graduates within two years of their defence. The award will be presented at a closing ceremony organised in collaboration with the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency (ARIS).

The recipient receives the Mentor of the Year award presented at a closing ceremony.

Nominations may be made by PhD students enrolled in at least the 3rd year of doctoral studies and by former PhD students who defended their dissertation no earlier than 16 March 2024 (within two years of defence).

Nominations are submitted via an online form (Google Forms); the questionnaire has two parts and includes seven descriptive questions.
