Behind the Seeds: The Science of Growing Climate-Resilient Landscapes

A behind-the-scenes workshop exploring native wildflower meadows of the Australian Drylands Precinct and greater Melbourne, hosted by the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria in partnership with Inspiring Victoria. Participants learn seed ecology, germination, establishment and meadow-making from horticulturists and scientists, and how botanic gardens trial plants for climate-resilient landscapes. The event links practical horticultural insights with the Design X Nature exhibition to illustrate how natural systems inform resilient landscape design. Attendees are invited to explore the accompanying exhibition after the workshop.

Practical insights into seed ecology and establishing meadow-style plantings; opportunity to visit the Design X Nature exhibition.
