AMOS Science Outreach Award

The AMOS Science Outreach Award recognises outstanding contributions to scientific outreach and engagement in the fields of weather, climate, oceans and related disciplines. The award identifies AMOS outreach ambassadors who inspire members and engage the public, politicians, schools, businesses and communities. The awardee receives a cash prize, an award and is offered a highlighted talk in the Education and Outreach session at the annual AMOS conference.

Anyone active in the AMOS fields of weather, climate, oceans and related disciplines is eligible for the award. Nominations may be made by any AMOS member and must include a nomination letter (max 2 pages), a brief CV (max 2 pages) and up to three letters of support (each max 2 pages) with specified summaries and limits; the total nomination package must not exceed 10 pages.

Any AMOS member may nominate a candidate by submitting a nomination letter (≤2 pages), a brief CV (≤2 pages) and up to three letters of support (each ≤2 pages) with specified summaries; total package ≤10 pages.
