Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna PhD in Human Rights, Global Politics and International Studies 2026-2027

The Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna invites applications for a PhD program in Human Rights, Global Politics and International Studies for 2026-2027. The programme supports interdisciplinary research under renowned faculty and fosters an international community of scholars. It prepares participants for careers in academia, international organizations, government agencies, and NGOs.

Three-year doctoral scholarship (€19,740 gross per year), housing allowance (€2,200 gross per year), 26 free meals per month, 50% scholarship increase for research periods abroad, personal budget for research-related expenses (10% of the scholarship).

Applicants must have at least one of the following qualifications: Laurea Vecchio Ordinamento; Laurea magistrale, magistrale a ciclo unico or specialistica; or a non-Italian MSc degree recognised as equivalent for admission to the PhD programme.
