The African Studies Centre at the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in African Studies for a two-year fixed-term position. The fellow will pursue an independent research programme within the broad theme of “Africa and the World” or Africa in the contemporary global order, contribute to teaching and supervision, and participate in seminars and conferences at Oxford. The position aims to support an early-career scholar in consolidating and launching their postdoctoral career within one of the world’s leading centres for African Studies.

Elegibilidade
Candidates should hold, or be near completion of, a relevant doctorate by the start of employment, and no earlier than three years before 1 January 2026. Applications from all academic fields are welcome.
