British Council’s English Language Assistants (ELA): Call for Applications 2026/2027

The British Council English Language Assistants (ELA) programme provides paid teaching placements abroad for 6 months or 1 year. It places around 1,800 English Language Assistants from the UK in schools and institutions across multiple destinations each year, offering professional development and cultural immersion in a paid position supporting English language education worldwide.
