The NIAS Safe Haven Fellowship Programme offers up to three 5-month fellowships at NIAS in Amsterdam for at-risk scholarly researchers as well as literary, journalistic and artistic researchers. It aims to protect scholars whose work is restricted or obstructed by state or non-state actors, providing relocation and continuing research opportunities, with a stipend and related support.

Stipend, office and research facilities, communal lunch, participation in NIAS community, subsidised accommodation or travel support, and reimbursed travel.
Elegibilidade
Applicants must be accomplished researchers with a demonstrable track record of scholarly, literary, journalistic, or artistic output. Scholarly proposals require a PhD and at least three years of postdoctoral experience; literary/journalistic/artistic proposals require a bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of professional experience.
