An international summer school focused on soil erosion and land degradation in drylands and fragile landscapes, combining lectures, field training, laboratory practicals, and group work. It provides hands-on experience with field assessments, wind tunnel and rainfall simulation experiments, and laboratory analyses using long-term experimental fields. The working language is English and the programme uses the A.I. Baraev Centre fields as a living laboratory. The event runs in Astana and Shortandy, Kazakhstan from 25–31 July 2026.

Elegibilidade
MSc students, PhD candidates, early-career researchers, and young professionals working in soil science, agronomy, environmental sciences, geography, ecology, land management, or related disciplines; applicants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Mongolia are particularly encouraged.
